The fourth tripartite Safety Committee Meeting of NTPC Coal Mines was held on 14th March 2024 in Ranchi. Shri Shivam Srivastava, Director (Fuel) NTPC, Chairman NML, and Nominated Owner of NTPC Coal Mines, was elected as Chairman. The meeting was attended by representatives from DGMS, NML, MDO representatives, workmen inspectors, and association representatives.

The forum was also used to recognise exemplary performances in mining and mine safety by employees of NTPC/NML.

Shri Animesh Jain, RED (Coal Mining), and CEO NML welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude to DGMS for their support and guidance to NTPC mining sites. The meeting highlighted NTPC's best practices in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), along with digital initiatives aimed at promoting a safer workplace.
